Founded in 1991, we are a state and federally permitted volunteer group dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife encompassing upstate South Carolina to Columbia to the GA state line and Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Although our focus is wildlife, we have never turned down any wild animal in need. We often take in exotics like sugar gliders, ferrets, reptiles, and pet birds due to the results of impulse buyers who soon find out they are not prepared to care for their pet.

Foothills Animal Rescue is the ONLY local group offering a manned, 24 hour hotline as well as a total commitment to wildlife and exotic animals. We work very closely in conjunction with our local D.N.R. officers exclusively. We will not turn down an animal in need. We are NEVER "full". We are here to help YOU, to help us, to help the animals! We are proud members of your community who provide educational lectures, attend special events, and assist animals to the best of our ability. 

***** We do NOT take dogs or cats ***** Please do not call our hotline for dog or cat emergencies. Precious time is lost when doing so. Contact your local humane society or cat and dog rescue!!! We are not affiliated with cat/dog rescues and do not know which one would best suit your needs.

We are a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. When donating your precious dollars to local animal charities ask questions! Make sure that your dollars are being used as intended. Foothills Animal Rescue group consists of unpaid professionals consisting of Biologists, conservationists and volunteers. We are not paid by the state of SC or the D.N.R. we exist solely on your donations!
